Question about play in a Jake's 3" Spindle lift

I have a Jake's 3" spindle lift on my cart. The passenger-side has no vertical play in the spindle assembly on the kingpin, but the driver-side has some play in it when you lift up on the front of the cart...about 1/32"-1/16".

I noticed this the other day when I was going over some rough terrain with myself and 3 passengers that there was a loud knocking noise in the front end.

I've determined the problem is the kingpin nut has bottomed-out before it tightened down on the spindle assembly. There is an upper washer, but no lower washer, on both the driver and passenger sides. The CC manual even shows a wavy kingpin washer, but there wasn't one included with the kit or described in the installation instructions, nor was there one on the cart when I removed the old spindle.

My question...Is there supposed to be a washer on the bottom of the Jake's spindle assembly or not? If so, is it the wavy washer or a regular flat washer?

I had the same question and called Jake's for an answer... My RXV had washers on the bottom side between the spindles and the mounting point. Their rep said to install the (use original) washer when installing the Jake's spindles.
