Default monster club car 20" lift on 40" boggers

I am looking for a set of 4 on 100 to 5 on 5.5 wheel adapters. I posted in a different tread with no luck. Looking to upgrade motor to a plum quick. What is the best choice to pull the 40 s ( need a lot of torque). thanks

Put them on a jeep

40s is a foot taller than the tires that fit my F250. This is wishful dreaming in my opinion. Too heavy and big for any but the most extensive electric build ... I want to see pictures and performance results...

Have you considered using a transfer case to reduce the final drive ratio and compensate for the large tire diameter? This may make it easier to move a cart with such increased weight as well.

Good idea, about the ratio and speed of a minute hand on a clock should pull them 40s.

I have the same problem on my cart, but with the VW transaxle options are limited (no transfer case) and gear sets lower than the 4.30:1 my street strip transaxle has become very expensive. I am hoping the gears I have will help make the 31 inch tires easier to turn. The stock ratio was way too tall for the tries on the cart.

40" diameter is an awfully big tire but after giving it a little thought, I think it's doable with a 15:1 rear axle and a GE D394 Beast motor.
At 36v, the Beast only spins 1600 RPM which would put the cart's speed at just under 13 MPH.
At 48v, the Beast spins 2300 RPM with an 18 MPH top speed.
I would think a large controller in the 650 range and 2ga cables would also be in order.

All I can say is go for it..... Biggest tires I've seen on a drive-a-ble CC are 30's....best of luck...

My limo has 31" tires on the rear

There are a few people on here that have built carts like what you want, try using the search function. I recall one really nice one from AZ that had a l=blue paint job with multi-colored graphics. There is another white one with big tires, and i think an older cart with 44" swampers that belongs to a forum member (i think). What about suzuki samurai axles? I doubt you could reach 15:1 with them, but with a 4:1 transfer and 4.88:1 gears it may work.
