Default Which lift kit to use?

I know this has prob been covered 100 times but I searched and couldn't find what I was looking for...

I have a stretched 98 ezgo that Im trying to put 22x11x8 tires on, what is the best lift to use? I had a 6" jakes spindle on my 03 ezgo, but I have read that these have issues offroading...I had thought about putting a Jakes 6" spindle on this one too, but want to know if it had the same issues as the 01-newer carts...It will be a hunting buggy but no serious offroading...

Thanks for any help!

I heard of no issues with the Jakes Spindle lift. Those ductile iron spindles are much stronger than the front axle ..... So go ahead and use it in my opinion it is the least expensive, easiest to install, trouble free lift.

I have a 6" lift kit on my yamaha and its fine for light offroad usage. Havent tried anything too serious. I dont know the type of terrain your area is to where you hunt, but chances are you wont have a problem. Unless you live on the mountain side, they'll work just fine.

I have had the jakes spindle lift in a dozer pit on an over-volted lifted CC without any problem... The only other cart able to follow me was using a 4 times as expensive Strech long travel...... really who has ever broke a jakes spindle lift? The only restriction you will have is you are still riding upon the stock suspension

All I know is that the spindle kit isn't wheelie proof.

Man great replies and fast!...Thanks for the welcome, looks like I will be visiting here more often! The issues I heard was not any fault of the jakes lift it was the factory axle that would fail. I was told by a local dealer that they wont install them anymore due to the design...and they said it was only the 01.5 - newer styles, so thats why I was asking if it would be ok on the older(9...Maybe I misunderstood what they were talking about, but thats how I took it...anyway sounds like I should be good to go with the spindle lift, and yes it is not super rough terrain maybe some steep areas(Allendale, SC)...
