Let The lifting Begin!!!
Hi everyone, I have a 1990 ezgo that my dad gave to me. I recently got it running again and decided to put a homemade lift in it. Well its going fairly well and I have the front spacers installed. Im working on finding some shocks for the front and rear, also figuring out how to modify the steering arm that goes from the steering column shaft to the right side knuckle. There is to much lift, and the arm would work if I could mount the tie rod end on the top side of the right side steering knuckle, but the taper will only allow me to mount it the stock way on the bottom. The spacers I made are 8" tall. Heres a quick quick pic I took lastnight. I will get better pics as soon as I get the time. Im really having a hardtime finding shocks!! Fronts have the "stud" ends on each side and I need them to measure atleast 22" end to end. Rears I want to run an air shock. Both ends must be the rubber/steel bushing ends that you just put a bolt through. It has to be atleast 18" long from center of mounting hole to center. Any suggestions or help would be great. I cant even get any parts stores to help me! They dont want to be bothered to look for them. Whats customer service come to these days. Everyone keeps telling me to look up a part number or shock so they could put it into there computer and cross reference it. Isn't that there job??? Oh well enough of my rant. Im just aggervated! out of 5 parts stores locally, only 1 might be able to help, the others said they cant help me.

Re: Let The lifting Begin!!!
For your shocks, look on Monroe Shocks Website. They have on online catalog that you can look up shocks by length,mounting,etc..Find your specs and it gives you a monroe Number that you can look up at an auto-parts store. If your drag-link(from steering-arm to spindle)needs to be longer, you can cut it and sleeve it with a soild piece of rod.Just make sure it fits tight and is welded good.Hope this helps.

for the rear try a 2001 grand caravan air shock.i am running the load handler shock with the ezgo rear spring installed on the shock instead of the one that comes on it.It fits on the shock but is tight getting it on.As for the front I don't know.Good luck

For the rear up to about 6" lift Monroe 32207 will replace the stock shock, but still use stock coils.
