Default My new 23's and rims on my marathon.

Well... I ended up getting turf tires for the rims today and got them mounted up. I think it looks pretty good. Considering how rough my cart still looks. Thanks to ScottyB for the hook up with the front rims! I'm still going to have to get the front axle moved about an inch or two forward so the tires don't rub on the inside frame when turned sharp and the suspension is compressed. But other than that.. here's some pics.

It's just the sealer that the builders put on my floor. I just had it built and they had a defective batch or something. I see what you're talking about now.... No it's where my camaro was parked. Ironically the cart was right over it. LOL!

Thanks to "rabbitreborn" for the referral to "scottyB" to find me rims. Yea... I'm going to paint the back side black like the rear ones and call it good on that part. But I'm going to wait until later... It's a heat index of 110 today here and I just got off work this morning.

Looks good. So hows it running with the quad engine? And how sturdy is the cage?

It "was" running good. Until I finally wore the motor out 4th of July weekend. The motor had low compression before I even started the build (95psi) and it burned alot of oil(it looked like a two stroke with too much oil). So I knew it was going to go. I'm working on getting it legalized in my town right now. But I'm going to rebuild the motor after I get it registered. Everything works as it should. Trying to make a shifter that worked was the hardest part. But I've got that taken care of. The cage really isn't one... I couldn't find a frame for a top around my area. So I made the frame. I just haven't figured out what I want to do for a top. But I did make it to where it will completely unbolt and be a regular convertible cart. I've tallied up everything I have in it so far... And after I rebuild the motor it looks like $1300 total.

Nice wheel setup and good work on the frame. Here's an idea for the top. Just mount a basket type rack to the top like this:

You can use a tarp laid in the rack or a wide variety of stuff to keep the rain off as needed.

I was thinking about seeing if I could find an old soft truck bed cover and cutting it up and making a bikini top (like a jeep) for it. My neighbor has another electric marathon sitting behind his garage. I think I'm making progress on getting him to let it go. It's got a top and the front nose with the headlights in it. But if that falls thru... definately going to make something.
