Default Club Car Stretch......Started

I have finally decided to stretch our cart. Its an lifted 86 Gas Club Car.

Heres what I started with..

I clamped on some 1/4 X 2 flat bar on the out sides to keep it the right distance. I will be stretching it 33".

I'm going to use 2 pieces of 1/4 X 2.5. Which will sandwich and bolt to the I-beams kinda like the old Z-bracket lifts were done. I think I'm going to sandwichAngle iron between the flat bar to give me something to weld the new floor to.

THis is as far as I got tonight, the wife and kids wanted to go get ice cream.

I should get somemore done tomorrow.

I got a little more done this morning. The rod from the gas pedal to the engine was 1/4, and I had some 1/4 id tube. A little cutting and welding and I have the right size throttle rod.
I also got both rockers done.(except for paint) here's a couple pics.

Nice work! Are you going to cut an old rear body and use it for the new front pod?

Thanks Xtreme.
I'm going to check to see how much a pod is, if its to much i'll just cut a second body.

I will try and get a little more done today.
