Default limited slip

I have a gas club cart and want to go run the sand dunes, is a limited slip a have to have? It has the 350cc motor and planning on doing the 28* clutches and mabie decking the head. I have some aggresive 22's on it now.

For sand you need power above all else, I'd be thinking how I could get a big block in there first. Mine will roll right over sand like nothing, but will not climb anything sand. We just put a clone 16hp in the same cart and its way better at climbing stuff, there is NO comparison. You have what you have, I'm just saying...

sho's right i'v had my warmed over g9 in the sand with 11'' wide tires and she floated great but, the stock motor only spins the tires so fast. so its kinda slow and i don't thiunk it would climb mutch. i agree though that the limited slip is the way to go for any off roading in a cart

Does plowmans make one for a CC? I know they do the yamaha. Or you can weld it if you don't plan on driving over yards. Sure posi is great for any motor, more so for larger engines, just saying you are going to be wishing for HP more than anything else. The clone 16 I put in was only 380 shipped with electric start, lots more power. Had to buy $50 adapter and maybe 50 in odds and ends to plumb it, but did have free scrap steel to make stuff with and a welder sitting there.

Bigger engine and less rolling weight for the dunes. I run a hopped up 18hp and it will get me everywhere except the top of Olds Hill (someday). I did the limited slip on my Ez-Go and noticed better grip on the hills and carving small bowls.
