Default New Family Cart Project

We have a farm in Southern Missouri and needed a vehicle to haul multiple people/kids around. Our farm is really meant for hunting/fishing/camping mainly so an off-road cart made sense.

So I hunted down a cart.....03 CC Gasser

I can't tell you how helpful this site was to me while doing all of this, you guys all saved me tons of time, skin, money, and effort....Thanks a bunch

so I stripped it down, removed the suspension and the body

Then I installed a "Buggies Unlimited" 6" lift with all new springs

Then I sanded the body down and put a camo olive drab paint job on it

I then wired up lights, backup light, cabin light, accessory switch, installed a clutch tuning kit, bypassed the microswitch so it can idle, adjusted the governor so I get more speed, painted the top flat black, installed a flop-over back seat, painted the wheels and put some off-road atv tires on it and here is what I have now

I have a few finishing touches, the wheels need spacers to widen the track a little bit, the backup light still needs to be installed, and a windshield would be nice since it is currently 27 degrees here in Missouri....can't wait to see the kids faces on Christmas....I have a 15 year old girl, 14 year old boy, and an 11 year old girl....they love the farm and have 4 wheelers, but this will be more car like to them....

more to come.....

Thanks for all the great comments, there is still a few modifications to go before Christmas....the tires are only 20 inchers, still plenty of room for larger tires, they just were not in the budget now so I had to stay with the 8" wheels and cheaper tires.....next time around they will be replaced with 10 inch wheels and bigger tires
