CC Lifted Question??
Has anyone ever drilled another set of holes in rear shackles to lower the rear of their cart to make it set level? I have installed a Jakes 6" spindle lift on my CC DS cart and it is sitting about 1" higher in the rear and was wanting to make it set more level.
thanks |

Re: CC Lifted Question??
You would be better off making new shackles. But, your going to lose some travel

Re: CC Lifted Question??
You must have H/D springs in the back.I took and added an extra leaf to my front spring and leveled it out.

Re: CC Lifted Question??
Stock rear spring just 1 spring in front and 1 spring in rear. I got the wheelbase extension plate on today and it helped about 1/4"
My shackles are offset like all the other gas carts I have seen? Oh well I will come up with something, I just think it looks better setting level or a little higher in the front. |

Re: CC Lifted Question??
You shouldnt loose any travel by changing shackle. I would drill it, make sure you like it, then build a set.

I had to to level my cart after much moding to the lift kit I purchased before I knew what I was doing. In other words I purchased a not to well thought out lift kit that I had to modify to make it strong enough to handle the terrain I travel on in my foraging for mushrooms. The rear was a little over an inch and a half too high after all that so I drilled new holes in my shackles to compensate. No problems with any of the mods I had to make to my lift kit or the shackles. I wound up with about a 4 inch lift after going back to the stock springs. The springs that came with my kit were way too stiff for my old azz |
