Default CC Lifted Question??

Has anyone ever drilled another set of holes in rear shackles to lower the rear of their cart to make it set level? I have installed a Jakes 6" spindle lift on my CC DS cart and it is sitting about 1" higher in the rear and was wanting to make it set more level.

thanks

You would be better off making new shackles. But, your going to lose some travel

You must have H/D springs in the back.I took and added an extra leaf to my front spring and leveled it out.

Stock rear spring just 1 spring in front and 1 spring in rear. I got the wheelbase extension plate on today and it helped about 1/4"

My shackles are offset like all the other gas carts I have seen?

Oh well I will come up with something, I just think it looks better setting level or a little higher in the front.

You shouldnt loose any travel by changing shackle. I would drill it, make sure you like it, then build a set.

I did
I had to to level my cart after much moding to the lift kit I purchased before I knew what I was doing. In other words I purchased a not to well thought out lift kit that I had to modify to make it strong enough to handle the terrain I travel on in my foraging for mushrooms. The rear was a little over an inch and a half too high after all that so I drilled new holes in my shackles to compensate. No problems with any of the mods I had to make to my lift kit or the shackles.
I wound up with about a 4 inch lift after going back to the stock springs. The springs that came with my kit were way too stiff for my old azz
