12 " or 14 " wheels
planning on lifting my 95 club car ds48volt .Is there any negative to using a 14 " wheel with a 23 " tire or would it be better to use a 12" with 23 " tire as far as ride quality .And is it ok to use a 23 " tire with out upgrading motor or anything else (aside from installing the lift)

Re: 12 " or 14 " wheels
I never claim to be an expert, but I believe the 23 inch tire on a 12 inch wheel would offer a softer ride. The smaller wheel size offers more side wall area on the tire for the same overall diameter, allowing for more flex in the side wall and a softer ride. Think of a car with 45 series tires (which I drive daily). The car will have great handling due to the reduced side wall flex, but the trade off of a stiffer side wall is having a stiffer ride quality. Maybe someone that has run both of these combinations can chime in with some comparison between the two.

I like my 12" ITP wheels with 23" tires, the ride is pretty smooth.

Re: 12 " or 14 " wheels
I just put the 14's on mine. They look killer. But the ride is not so great of you do a lot of offroading. On the street. The ride and handling is great. But off road you will feel every little thing. For a club car it might not be as bad with the IFS. I might try them on my dads CC just to see how it rides
So in my opinion, everything about them gets a thumbs up except for ride quality |

I love my 14"s! Gets a little ruff at times, but I think the suspension is a little to stiff personally, even with the long travel setup. And my coil overs are at the softest setting.

Re: 12 " or 14 " wheels
I have 10" wheels with 22" tires and it rides ok for off road. I would go for smaller rims and bigger tires just my 10 cents worth.

The ride is rough and I will agree that the suspinion is to firm. But who cares when everyone you ride past is lookin
