what was the answer on this one? did it get deleted? I was wondering the same thing. are they going to ruin my aluminum wheels because there is so much less surface area of the wheel touching. just curious. bottom line do they work well?

Never used them. I think I would be scared to use those instead of the "full contact" spacer... Are they 4" each or total 4" gain from side to side?

they are 4" total. I was looking at them and it just seems like there would be an awful lot of strain on the wheels. They say they have a lifetime warranty but does that cover what they ruin if they fail? lol

Cycle, anytime you move you wheel farther out from the bearing, it puts more strain on the wheels bearings. It's your and Fast's call to use them but, If I were to use spacers, it would be the full spacers and not just an extended "lugnut" Hope this helps

tonka, i did some calling around and now it kinda makes sense. the theory is that on most aluminum wheels they only contact the hub right around the lug holes. the stud spacers surface contacts that same surface on the wheels. so as long as they don't break they won't hurt the wheel. The spacer plates just provide more strength from side force I would imagine. i was told however that you should not use the lug spacers with steel wheels. They need more surface area to contact. I'm not sure I'm convinced but I'm thinking about trying them.

Its all preference. If the aluminum wheels "sits" against the hub just by the lug holes, that will put additional strain on the lug threads and I don't believe it will be sturdy enough (for offroad). You have to remember, your wheel will be 2" away from the hub. That is alot of tensile pressure there. Try them and see what you think or how they do...
