97 cc ds gas 8in. lift new build
Well I picked this cart up a few weeks ago and it was in pretty rough shape. Plans are to do a minor frame up restoration with new suspinision, new wiring, and a new body (not a complete rebuild nut for nut but more just to clean what is there and replace what needs replacing). Sorry didn't take pics before teardown but hope you like the progress.

Re: 97 cc ds gas 8in. lift new build
haha will take more pics just waiting on parts from my dealer, seems like they take their sweet time. I have some 24 in. tires but just haven't been able to get them mounted up yet and the rear had some backwoods engineered spring pads on when I bought it so cutting them off and welding new ones on so hopefully will have the rear back in, in a week or so (been at the job so much haven't had time to work on my toy) but going to acid wash the frame first to remove all of the corrosion, It is a long process but getting done slowly

Re: 97 cc ds gas 8in. lift new build
cleaned the frame, acid washed it and removed paint that was on it from the previous owner, going to probably do it again with a scotch bright pad to get all of the tough crap off of it. It cleaned up nice though, also took some picks of the spring perches picking up new ones tomourrow and installing this comming week will keep yall posted
Oh forgot to add also cleaned out the gas tank had about a gallon of water in it but not no more :) Last edited by dirtyyoda77; 02-19-2011 at 11:53 PM.. Reason: forgot something |

Re: 97 cc ds gas 8in. lift new build
I got it at ace hardware comes in a clear gallon jug and says it cleans aluminum siding windows vinel siding a bunch of other stuff it is a very mild acid they say wear gloves but i havent used them and use it at full power
(do not use it to clean polished aluminum as it will make the material dull and you will have to polish it back out |
