Default Lift kit install problem Part 2...The rear

Once again, I hope I'm just stupid... But it appears that the u-bolts supplied for the rear portion of my Allsports lift are too short.... I have HD rear springs, but the pic. sent in the instructions seems to have HD springs also. The kit came with a new shock bracket/plate and a new square plate that seems to mount under the original brake cable plate.... The u-bolts no go thru all that after new axle seat is installed.

Anybody else had this problem?

CB, not too sure about the cc kits but I know the EZGo kits I have bought included a spacer plate to put in if you did not have the HD leafs. If you did have them, you didn't need it. Is it possible that is what that bottom plate is for ? I'm guessing here..

Could be it... Did you have 2 U-bolts per side? That's what I've got with this kit instead of the single that fits diagonal across the axle... Thie pic in the instructions had 4 leafs in the spring same as mine. IDK..

Sorry guy, don't know. Like I said, mine were for EZs and are different but I thought they may be similar in having the extra spacer plate. I am sure a CC owner will chime in soon..

Hate to suggest it but, did that kit happen to come with a little piece of paper with writing on it ? I had to break down and read mine when I did the first kit cuz I had the same problem. Too many pieces of plate steel and not a long enough bolt. I too went by the pics and in realllllly small writing it said, don't use these if you have hd springs.. doh

That's just wrong man....

Yeah, I read the the little marking time and time again (well outta view from any on-lookers) but no such info... I did find some mistakes in the instructions when it came to using factory/supplied hardware while ding the front of the lift. They need some proof reading done.

My AllSport lift came with one Ubolt per side that went diagonal. Spring and block on top of the axle. New plate under the old spring perch. Shock mount hole towards the rear. Plenty of thread left over.
