Are 4 ply tires necessary?
2002 Workhorse. Stock tires are four ply. Do I need at least 4 ply or could I get away with 2 or 3 ply?

Re: Are 4 ply tires necessary?
Depends on your driving habits and where you will do most of your riding... Fields, yes 4 ply for stalk stubble! Ditches, hills and grassy areas, maybe not needed. Sand yes.. It's all up to the owner...

i agree....its also just a little more insurance when you go with 4 ply...less chance overall of a puncture

Re: Are 4 ply tires necessary?
Ply rating has more to do with weight carrying capacity. workhorses are bigger/heavier, and are built with dump beds for hauling heavy loads and towing. If you r just driving miss daisy then dont worry about it. But if it were mine, Id go with the 4 ply for peace of mind!
