Ezgo Long Travel kits: Jakes vs Stretch
I got a sweet deal on a rear Jakes long travel kit on eBay today! Now I just need one for the front. Before I bought ithis rear lift, I was intending on buying the stretch plastics front long travel kit. I can buy it shipped for $610. The Jakes front lift I can get for about $560 shipped. I like the look of the chrome stretch lift better than the Jakes, but Do you think I am ok to mix the two? Does anyone have either of these lifts? How do you like yours? Thanks

Re: Ezgo Long Travel kits: Jakes vs Stretch
Both are a good choice. I have a jakes front long travel kit with an additional 9 inches of lift (that I fabricated) and the quality of thier parts are top notch. On the strech, I have heard nothing but good things. So either way you go, you really can't go wrong IMO. If both kits provide ride height adjustment then either should work in theory.

Killer CC...what did you end up doing on this? Did you go all Jakes or mix it up. What are your findings?

The Strech chrome quality is terrible. They are a better engineered lift than Jakes in my opinion.

I went with jakes on my 98 ezgo, great lift stands up to a lot of abuse but stock shocks ride good but sag quickly if you get rough with them.

Re: Ezgo Long Travel kits: Jakes vs Stretch
I have stretched an ezgo cart with the jakes adjustable LT and I thought it was terrible compared to the strech plastics, and the shocks cannot support the extra wait that is on the front of a limo cart. The S.P. long travel actually works great on a limo adjusted up on pre-load springs, Ive used them on gas and electrics
