lifted ezgo "drifting" on dirt
Just bought a 2003 gas ezgo with 22 inch tires. When driving on a dirt road it "drifts" all over the place, even when going slower. It doesn't do it when driving on pavement. Just wondering what may be causing it. Thanks for the help.

You need to check your front end alignment. I dont remember what the Ez's like for alignment, but someone will jump in with the number.

toe in should be about 1/8. i would also check the tire pressures and tie rod ends.

Re: lifted ezgo "drifting" on dirt
You can just measure tread edge to tread edge or you can jack the cart up a little and rotate tire while holding the edge of a screwdriver or crayon to it. This will put a line down the center of the tire. Drop the cart back on the ground and roll it a few ft back and forth ... then measure the front side and compare the measurement to the rear side..... should be 1/8 to 1/4 inch wider in the rear depending upon the tire size. Bigger tires = bigger measurement. This will give a little toe in and keep her from wandering.
Make adjustment at the tie rod. Loosen the lock nut between the rod end and the rod on both ends. Rotate the rod to adjust it's length and tire toe in. |

Thanks, I will work on that today. I also want to adjust the governor to get a little more speed but want to fix this problem first.

When you say front side and back side, is that front of the tire or front of the cart? Haven't ever done anything like this before.

frt center line of tire should be narrower by 1/8 -1/4 than the rear of tire.
