Yamaha G1 Build
Finally after years of waiting and searching I found a Yamaha G1 for sale for a good price to rebuild. I picked it up this afternoon and I'm pumped to get working on this thing. Its a mess but its a good start, since this picture I've cleaned it and all the marks and **** came out and the only body damage is in the rear where the club holders would go theres a couple small fiberglass cracks. Both bumpers front and rear have dents but the frame is in great condition no rust. When I picked it up the motor was running, the guy I bought it from had a hard time getting it to start and to keep it running but after 30 minutes it was running and staying on and running pretty good. It had been sitting for like 4-6 months. The seats need to replaced obviously and I want to replace the bumpers with heavy duty aftermarket ones with lights and a winch. I plan to paint the cart and to lift a bit with wider aggressive tires and black steel wheels. Plan to rig a flat bed for it as well and maybe a exhaust stack.

Re: Yamaha G1 Build
Good luck with your build... your G1 looks in a lot better shape then the one I picked up a few weeks ago... :/ but it's been a fun project so far... as far as seats go... after i stretched the frame i started looking at boat seats for a while but settled on a couple of universal golf cart bench seats i found on eBay... they are decent and will fit the cart just fine, plus they came out a bit cheaper then the boat seats i had considered.

Draining all fuel out of the tank and cleaning the fuel system out, then I'll be attempting to clean the carb and everything tomorrow hopefully then I'll be rewiring everything and a new battery.
