Is there a 3-wheeler lift?
Has anyone here lifted a 3 wheel cart? Is there a kit to do it? Would it be worth it for 2-4 inches on a gas cart?
I'd just like to know if it's possible and realistic. Thanks. |

Re: Is there a 3-wheeler lift?
there isnt a kit that i know of (but i could be wrong). but more to the point is it would be VERY unstable to put a 3 wheeled cart up higher....it would tip over if you looked at it funny.
Im the kind of guy that does things that no one else will so if you want to do it go for it. BUT if your going to do it you will have to make the back end about double as wide as much as you lift it. Generaly when i lift somthing if i lift it say 6 inches then you need to make it about 3" wider to keep about the same stability (with 4 wheels). when you lift 3 wheels it chages things and if you lift 6" then you should widen it by almost 12". You could probly get by with 8-10" but thats all up to you. |

The reason they stop making 3 wheelers is because they would turn over at the drop of a hat.

Re: Is there a 3-wheeler lift?
I had a feeling that even a small lift would necessitate a change in geometry of the cart. Which kind of brings to mind a chopper style "lift". It would only bring the front up a small amount and put the center of gravity a little further back.
Of course that may make things harder on the drive system. |

Re: Is there a 3-wheeler lift?
I have lifted 3 three wheeled carts. One electric harley, and two electric EZho's. If you drive like you have a brain you won't have any problems flipping it over. I entered one of my EZho's in the mud bogs at the last Buggy Bonanza.
What type of cart do you have? I think I still have a couple "kits" I made up for mid 80's EZGO's. |

Re: Is there a 3-wheeler lift?
Hi agc,
I have an '87 Columbia which you can see in my album. I lost track of this thread because we had a baby boy arrive June 6th and everything has been upside down ever since. Right now I'm concentrated on about 1000 things at once. One being getting a good carb for the cart. Latest news in Gas Carts\Columbia\... Gee Strawhead you really know how to find the interesting pictures. I'm only looking for a bit more clearance, not really a mud cart. I'll find a 4 wheeler for that. |

Hey agc, do you have any lift kits left for a 3 wheel cart?
