12V accessory battery with charger
I'm having a hard time figuring out where to put this post so if this isn't the best place feel free to move it.
I'd like to put a 12V accessory battery on my 48V cart to run...well, 12 volt accessories. Namely a winch for use in lifting a snow plow or mower deck and possibly a stereo. I've thought about a DC-DC converter but they are pretty expensive if you want it to put out any amps at all and I really don't want to tap off of two batteries on the pack for fear of unbalancing them. So, what I'm thinking about doing is putting in a 12V battery and a unit like this: http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...ner-99857.html I'd like to tap off of the AC cord for a Delta Q inside of the cart body for the 12 volt charger so there are no extra plug-ins. Should this work OK or will it cause some problems with my 48V charger? |

You can tap off the power source for the Delta-Q without causing any problems.
