club car upgrade
hi everybody out there i have ordered a lift kit for my golf car and 22 inch tires now i would like to upgrade the controller and motor any ideas y have seen some on ebay and what does anybody thinks of a 7 hp 11 peak hp 48 volt motor with a 700 amp 800 peak controller will it work good for my cart or not thanks a lot ...

Does anybody have any idea what kind of controller do i need for my carryall 2 is a 48 volt with 100 amp solenoid and 300 amp curtis controller my clubcar is a 2003 with a 3.1 hp 48 volt motor i have no clue if it is an iq or ds precedent model ... Thanks a lot for your help... The club car is already lifted with the 6 " jake's spindle lift kit i had to take the front brakes off and im missing some torque and speed climbing a hill also i dont know what kind of disc brakes i need for the front ... Any ideas i'll apreciate thanks a lot

First question is if it series or regen. Does it have a forward reverse lever by your leg or a switch? If it is the newer style jakes spindles they will have your disc brake kit.

I talked with jr25 earlier on the phone and the cart does have a run/tow switch so it is a shunt wound motor with regenerative braking... Jr confirms that the cart has some type of slowing which indicates a regen system. He is wanting more torque and speed for the 22 inch tires. I have suggested a 500 amp GE controller and 400a solenoid so he can go up from there with bigger motor? or whatever down the road.....

I think he ment he had to take the factory front brakes off, they will not fit with the jakes kit.
