Default Building A Lifted Limo Yamaha

Well here's what I started with, a 2001 Yamaha G-20 Gas Limo.

I have already rebuilt the clutch and carb and put a new shifter cable on it. I have a Carbon Fiber steering wheel and a Jakes shifter already.
I ordered Stretch Plastics, Spider 8 spoke polished wheels, Vision VX 23/10:50/12 Radial tires, Jakes A frame lift, Carbon Fiber light kit and Dash, Chrome steering wheel adapter and column cover, and both belts.
I also got the Alum. tubing to do the cage and both bumpers, I haven't decided on a style for the bumpers yet. I'll take the seats off and take them to the upholster next week. If all goes well I'll be done by the first of August. Wish me luck and I'll try and keep the pics coming.

I got my tires ordered today, Vision VX's 23/10:50/12, 6 ply, DOT, Radial's also ordered my fender flares.
I think I'm going to get a Jakes power kit for the driven clutch to. Does the machined sheave really make that much difference than just the spring.

Nice place to start. I like the limo's but i guess I am biased. Hey there's always more room for your friends in a limo, right? Part of me wishes I started out with a cart like you have here too. It would have been a lot less custom fabrication on my part, but not nearly as wild! Keep posting pics as you go and good luck with your build!

I still need a driven clutch upgrade, has anyone got an opinion between the Jakes kit and the Plowmans kit. Plowmans is more expensive is it worth the difference???? I dont know much about either one, any help would be appreciated.

I don'thave any experience with either of these. You could do a search for both kits on here to try and find threads with more info. I have seen people recommending the plowman's kit on here.

Well nobody had any opinions on the two different clutch kits so I chose the Plowmans kit 2 sheaves, spring and a belt for 159.00 also picked up a lifetime free flow airfilter and new jets for the carb for 50.00. Hope they work good.
Got the cart took apart today, started sandblasting the seat frames and grab handles for Powdercoating. I'm going with the Hamertone color, black & silver. It should look good with the silver paint and black and gray seats.
I took the seats to the upholster today also.
