Default Lifting an 08 precident

Is the A arm lift or drop spindle lift better and Y? I only want to go 3" lift due to a vertically challanged wife. Also want to put a 12" wheel combo on it, and the smallest size tire is a 23". Is this going to fit or am I asking to much?
Its not going to see any trails or rough roads.... and if I need to clearance the plastic fenders I can a little.

thanks ....

I have the 12" wheel and 23" tire combination on my cart with an Allsports 6" A-arm lift and have no clearance issues. 3" less lift and I am pretty sure everything is rubbing. If I get 4 adults on the cart and pull some hard turns on rough terrain I can get the rear tires to rub but I am riding on stock springs. It is not often I find myself in that situation so I have not upgraded the springs because I don't want to sacrifice ride quality. I don't know how challenged your wife is but mine stands right at 5' and has no problems getting on.

I agree with 1bdprecedent, 3 more inches of lift is not that much higher. Mine has a 10" lift with 26's and my 5' wife hops in without any problems. I don't think the 23's will fit with 3"s of lift.

I have an '06 CC with a Allsport A-Arm 6" w/ 12X23 tires. I have just recently changed how the rubber dampners are stacked between the lower A-Arm and the spring. This lowered the front quite a bit. I estimate it is now at 3-4" of lift. I have ZERO rubbing and significantly better handling than at 6". I did have to realign the front end. Now someone please tell me how to get rear wheel hop out of a raised cart under braking. This drives me nuts!

I would love to have the 3" lift and the 12" wheels ............
she is 4'11" and im using it for the race track. So lots of short distance driving and on and off the cart. I just dont want it to be a pain for her up and down.

I suggest you go with the 6" All Sport A-Arm kit on the 12X23. If you are at all mechanical, you will see right away that you can lower the front to suit yourself and your clearance needs down to at least 4" if not 3". You will have to adjust the front end alignment as you drop it. It took me about 30 minutes for all above with no parts needed. This technique MIGHT also apply to the long travel which I wish I had bought. The problem I have is the rear. It has a fair amount of wheel hop / brake surge under moderate to heavy breaking. I think this is due to axle now being under the spring and spaced off it 2" or so to boot. I think the axle location torques the heck out of the springs then unloads ....then loads...... I think I can lower it and inch or so, but I'm not sure it will stop the hop. :-) Maybe I'll add front brakes and disconnect or at least adjust out the rears if that doesn't work. Still researching and thinking ......anybody got a solution?

I just finished installing my AllSports 6'' Lift and am also having a problem with the rear brakes but I know what it is, just haven't investigated how to fix it. When adding the lift, the rear left brake cable is much shorter than the right so it is very tight with the lift. When I apply the brakes, that wheel is braking before any of the others. Should be a pretty easy fix though.

My driver side cable was a little shorter than the passenger after the lift installation. This was never really an issue until I installed the disc brake kit, then it was about 1 1/2" too short. I went to the cart shop, got another passenger cable, installed it on the driver side and was back in business. You may be alright if you loosen the clamps that hold the cable to the spring mounting bolts. If not pick up a passenger cable, $19 for the cable at the CC dealer.
