Default Help with Tires: 4-ply X-Trail -vs- 6-ply Desert tire?

I am trying to decide between these two tires in the 22x11x10 size for my hunting cart. Obviously the 6-ply should be more durable, just wasnt sure if it may be too stiff...Need some input. Thanks!

depending on what you are doing with it will play in to what ply you should go with.

the 4 ply will have a softer ride than the 6.
4 ply would have more give if you do a lot of off road driving, hence better grip.
6 ply is better if you have ride with a lot of people or weight in the cart.
6 ply is also better for higher speed as tires won't give as much, holding shape and are not prone to Bounce like some do at higher speeds.

IMO if you do a lot of street driving, and want a stable ride then go 6 ply.

Hope my 2 cents helps.

Same tire, much cheaper, and a site sponsor--not sure about shipping.

I have 6ply tires on my cart and I like them . I would say go 6 ply. Mine are Maxxis bighorn 2.0 They are radial tires and they ride pretty good. I ride a lot of gravel roads.

It all depends on the air you put in them, too. Just like truck tires if you are running on the highway you air them up pretty hard, but if you are running around on rough terrain and mud then just let some air out and it smooths out the ride tremendously.

Its just whatever tires you like the best and have the best price. I have 4 plies and run my tires pretty soft and they do great on rocks and dirt roads, but when we want to play golf I put a little more air in them and scoot around the golf course trails

Hey, thanks for the replies...I am leaning toward the 6-ply, and Dave I appreciate the info, I have a good friend who can get me a great deal on these tires or Id definitely go with one of the site sponsor...

I had a set of 22x11x10 Carlisle all trails(are these the same as the all terrain "X-Trails?) and they were smooth, and I liked them, but I will admit when I added an EMP motor and was getting speeds up in the mid to high 20's, they seemed a little wobbly on a sharp curve. Will a 6 ply help since its a little more ridged? Im sure it may not be quite as soft of a ride, but I cant imagine it being too bad, plus a little safer is what I was going for. I do use this for hunting season too, but it gets used just as much around the neighborhood streets and trails in the off season...Thanks for everyones input
