Just in case anyone was wondering....
YES, a stock Club Car will tow a 27' boat with a 496 big block.... I had to really put my head into beefing up the crappy golf cart hitch!
Tow it from my neighborhood storage, about 1/2 mile. Stopping is a big problem though... I learned to start stopping at my neighbors property line Better view of boat size. |

Wow! That's awesome ... I didn't even know you could put a 496 in a golf cart

Re: Just in case anyone was wondering....
I'm guessing it will tow it on the flats but will not launch and retrieve on anything but a nearly flat ramp if at all.
Still looks impressive and nice boat! |

Re: Just in case anyone was wondering....
I wouldn't even try the ramp up or down... It does pull it out of my gravel storage though. About a 1" per foot incline in gravel. I was very suprised then impressed.
Not one of my neighbors have commented or mentioned it?? |

Nice looking boat! I'm not sure I would try to tow it with a golf cart though lol.

Nice. I want to do the same thing. Do you mind sharing what you did to the hitch to beef it up?

Re: Just in case anyone was wondering....
I beefed up my hitch to pull my 6X12 cargo trailer . I added a piece of 1/4 X 1 1/2 angle iron from the frame rails and attached the hitch to that. I had to hollow out the bumper and bolted to the angle iron .
