Default Help...new batteries and still sluggish going up hills

I recently bought a 1999 48V club car with the F/N/R lever below the seat area. The cart has been lifted and has a 700 amp controller(??brand)...and a 11.4 hp motor. it has 22 x 11 - 10 dirt devil tires. It had some 2007, 2008, and 2009 trojan T875 batts....the cart would run strong on flat surfaces....but after just a short amount of time it would only creep up hills. I invested in brand new US Batteries last week......the cart still performs the same way......what now??? Any help would be appreciated....could the controller be going bad....? Do they gradually go bad...? or is it something else?

Sorry I don't have an answer but I just bought a similar cart and will be lifting it soon so I'll be watching this. Hope somebody chimes in and posts some ideas.

See if the wires attached to the forward and reverse board at the swivels are getting hot. Possible losing power at the f and r board or any cable getting to hot to touch is acting as a resitor and can be losing power. Does it have upgraded cables or beefed up f and r switch.

metalite, mine is getting hot at the F/w switch and one of the wires going from switch to motor. I'm happy with the speed I have but I am planning on upgrading the switch.
