Default OBT 1996 ezgo txtDCS "M48VDCS"

Here's the official build thread for the grenade I got for free. Project "M48VDCS". CAUTION: Will be pic heavy due to this will take me awhile to complete.

Project checklist:

48v conversion
New batt tray
Controller
PQ motor upgrade
Strech LT lift (currently waiting on)
23 or 24" tires
12" wheels
Cage
Tow hitch rear bumper
Lights
Sound system
Steering wheel
Rocker panels
Floor boards
Custom body mods & inner fenders
Re-wrap seats

& I'm probably missing a bunch. Here's comes the current work accomplished and my inspiration.

The Inspiration M818 & M35, I love'm

The cart in the middle of getting ready for a garage sale

Disassembly down & help for lil bro

Had to pick this up for the mess

Primed up, then a 2nd freebee showed and got tore down.

2nd cart it all the way to scrap, it was junk.

Now to the rebuilt rear half, cleaned, oiled, primed & painted. Then custom shackles fabbed at work.

Clean and shiny

Shackles from scrap 2.5", now 6.5"

To be continued....

still waiting on lift, rear HD leafs came in. even though i spent some time and $$$ on the frame already, i've decided to get it powder coated. the stretch lift is getting it too, bye bye crome. hello black. im thinking the brake spring assembly is gonna be fun going back in, it was a beast removing it. the through bolt was pretty well seized in place. i think im going to go through a quart of anti-seize when this thing goes back together. oh ya, thanks to craigs list, im picking up a new/used body tonight for $75.00. no too shabby.
