Re: Best Long travel for CC DS
I am not an expert by any means but I have been looking at a lot of sites for a long travel suspension and here is what (in my opinion) I've found. There are several sites (a few not many) that have long travel suspensions or what they consider a long travel suspension. Jake's to me seems to be one of the best truly independent traveling a-arm suspensions out there much like the front end of a sport atv. Others seem to be a partial upper a-arm w/ lower leaf spring combo or custom made job from who knows who garage or where it's from. I think this will be the place I get mine because the number of site sponsors that carry them and they seem to be quality builds out of quality material. The site says it's the same material used and required in the auto racing industry. Plus I like the bumper and receiver attachment on the front. Again before someone gets on here and wants to tell me how uninformed I am remember I beat you to it at the beginning of the post. I put the disclaimer that I'm no expert and this is my opinion. Please though everyone else feel free to share theirs as I want to learn a thing or two myself. Hope this may help you blowin by.

Well I will have to say I didn't know where that lift had come from until your post. I've seen this on a cart pic that is on here and thought maybe it was a custom or homemade lift. It would be a hard toss up since they both are very similar and by judging off the pic on his site it is a full functioning long travel also. Hopefully and surely someone on here has one and can post? Either way keep us posted and let us now how it all turns out. Oh yeah and post pics for us all to drool over!!!

Re: Best Long travel for CC DS
Ill tell you what i know about those two kits from what i have seen on the ezgo's. both are very good kits. the one tom sells is made by strech plastics. its is by no means a garage built job. both kits have their ups and downs. the jakes kit will allow you to adjust the ride height as to where the strech kit does not. the down side to the jakes kit that i have seen a few times is that the shock plate that has the J cutout can bend if you get a little too rough with it, but Jakes has made it right to everyone that i have read and seen it happen to . i have seen the strech kit on a few carts and they were wide and stable with a comfortable ride. the jakes kit is wide but can be a little stiff. i did see one of the heim joints on one of the jakes kits break, but that can happen with any heim joint. i am wanting to put a long travel on my cart and when i do it will be the strech kit because it is more like what i want. i like the looks and ridgedness of it. to me the jakes kit has to many bolt together parts. but, i have seen and rode on carts with both kits and have nothing really bad to say in either direction. both kits have their ups and downs but in the end they are both very very good kits.
