Default Will I regret a 25" Tire?

I have a 97 EZGO TXT. I would like to go with a 25" Dirt Devil on a 12" rim. Will these clear the body with a Jake 6" Spindle lift? Will my stock 9hp engine be enough to get it going? In the future I am thinking of putting a hybrid 350cc in with some clutch work. Will that be enough to climb hills and have some fun. The cart won't ever do any serious off roading. It may do some easy trails and yard work.

THese are the rims Negative offset is 2+6

In my opinion that is a little too much to ask.

It should be just fine. I would reccomend getting some clutch work done just incase. It really depends on how much strength is left in your engine. If I were you I would get this...

EZGO Power Kit
Machining Driven Clutches

I ordered the spring already. I was wondering how the transaction for the machining goes do they send me one and I send back my unit?

"Will I regret a 25" Tire?"
Yes, I believe you will unless you want them for the cool factor. If you were planing to do some off roading, mudboggin, ect, then you probably wouldn't regret it. For yard work it's a little much, 25" is pushing all the limits for a 6" lift. Its not a problem to get the 295 to pull them but you'll be hard pressed to ever get any top-end speed, 9hp isn't enough power to spin those heavy tires very fast. I would bet your cart will actually run slower than it would with 23" tires unless your always going downhill. The modded 350 would solve these power issues. There also seems to be a point where bigger lifts and tires will make a cart less desirable when selling. The carts start getting really tall and harder to get in when going to the bigger size tires and lifts. Best thing is to go see one up close and personal if you haven't already.

On the clutch, you send your clutch to Tom at www.cartpartsplus.com he machines it, then he sends it back to you. or just call him, maybe he can work out something different if needed.

I agree

This cart has a 6 inch lift and 22 inch tires. It is 16 inches to step up into it.

I run 23's and I can go through about anything I want too. If I cant get through something it is either because a lack of power or the tires fill with mud, its never the clearance issue.

I have a 2006 TXT with the same lift kit. The 23" work outstandingly well. You will lose acceleration. As for tope end speed, you will actually gain soome (same RPMs, bigger circunference). IOW, it will take you longer to get to top end, however once you get there, you will notice that there is a bit more top end than before.

As for the 25", unless there is a clear application that will require you to getr 25", I would avoid them.

You can check the proportions of the cart using 23" Alltrails in this pic...

BTW, I recommed getting the flares, unless you want puddle water splashing all over you..

I've got an 8" lift, but I'm happy with my 25" tires. I'm electric though.

Besides being electric, I understand that the aforementioned lift is 6". The 25"s will fit under the 8" lift, but will probably rub off on the 6" lift (will be a function of the rim offset, tires, etc.)
