Buying Decision Help
I am in the market for a golf cart that can be used mainly for waterfowl hunting, working around the farm and just cruising around.
I ran across a 36 volt 2000 EZGo equipped with a camo wrap, utility box, headlights, 22"stryker tires, 6" lift kit and 2010 batteries. The seller is asking $2800. My questions are: 1) Is this a decent price for what information I provided? 2) Will this cart suit my needs especially hunting and dealing with mud? 3) What additional mods should I consider if I purchase the cart? 4) What questions should I ask the seller? |

Re: Buying Decision Help
The cart LOOKS the part, the question is does it have what it takes to do the job you have in mind?
Ask him what drive system it has Series or PDS? Then ask what upgrades have been made to the drive system. If he says nothing, plan on spending up to $1000 on upgrade parts = speed controller, solenoid, cables, F&R, even the motor in some cases. Hope this helps. |

Re: Buying Decision Help
Could be a pretty good deal? Where are you located?
Check the frame and battery tray for rust. |

Re: Buying Decision Help
Thanks for the replies guys. I have emailed the seller your questions on the drive system.
I am located in West Kentucky. I will update this thread when I hear back from the seller. |

Re: Buying Decision Help
I just found out it is a series cart with no drive upgrades.
Can someone enlighten me on the differences between series and pds? |

Re: Buying Decision Help
Im no expert but if im right the series drive system is a somewhat manual( for lack of a better term) drive system whereas the pds is a computer controlled drive system. At any rate when you go to purchase aftermarket parts stick to ebay or other online methods. The local cart shops seem to have ridiculous mark up on most items and the money you can save by shopping online will be substantial. Plus most shops will have to order what you need anyway so order it yourself and save!
