Hunting Buggy
Have a 2007 Ez-Go TXT I'm gonna do a upgrade on the motor and all after season this year. This is my first electric cart so I'm curious as to what set up you guys would recommend. We have some hill but nothing steep. Looking for torque and speed. Thanks for the help!

Re: Hunting Buggy
You can't go wrong with ScottyB's sale right now!!! He posted it under "Announcements". While you're doing it, throw 2 batteries in the bag well and make it 48Volts! You will be REALLY happy!

Re: Hunting Buggy
If your TXT is a series cart; you will need to upgrade all of the amperage handling components.
You shopping list for a series cart will look something like this: 4-500 amp controller/solenoid combo and beef up all of the battery, motor, controller, & F&R cables And beef the F&R up. Those are all of the amperage handling components. Next year = 48v & new motor |

Re: Hunting Buggy
My guess is you won't be satisfied with a bandit upgrade...... go for the whole enchilada
A lot of people want to take this in stages .... Cables and F&R first, then controller pkg., then ... and so on. That's why I posted that. lol |

Re: Hunting Buggy
Oh great Scotty; so I go with the Executioner, love for it a couple months, then I'll feel the need to hit you up for a new 650-750amp controller....when is it going to stop??? Hmmmm, 72 volts, lol.

Re: Hunting Buggy
I told my wife last night that I had a great idea to have the cart painted out like a Virginia State Troopers car, with lights and everything....she didn't think it was even a good idea....sigh

Re: Hunting Buggy
I thought it was only for Sepex models, your next step if you have the bandit is the big one!

Oh, you to now LostHusker...if that's the case, it the ASSASSIN! Yes, it looks like the Executioner is a Sepex motor and Bandit/Assassin are series motors. That's a BIG jump in price...but a big jump in performance also. Not sure I really need it since I already have to keep it slower than it'll do at campgrounds. |
