Battery replacement suggestions?
So, I allowed my cart cables to get corroded and inhibited a solid connection from my Alltrax 500 controller. It ultimately burnt through the battery post...
I was thinking about replacing the battery since the other 5 of the 6 volt batteries are from 2009. I figure I have two options - 1.) buy a brand new Trojan and replace the old one, 2.) find a used 2009 Trojan and replace the broken one. I have read on Buggies where I could drill a bolt in and rig the battery so it will work, but I am not as comfortable with that option. My question is --- what do you all recommend between the two options that I am considering above as the best. Also, is there anything that I am not considering that I should? Will my charger have any problems with the new battery or replacement? Thanks in advance!! |
