Default Is this a HD solenoid?

My local shop says (once again) this is a heavy duty solenoid and that i dont need to have it upgraded even with a 11hp motor and 650 amp alltrax controller. Part of this upgrade package is to upgrade the solenoid so i called to ask about this and gave him the part number. Im almost certain its the original solenoid because its so dirty and appears to have never been removed from the location its at on the frame.

Its an Albright solenoid and the part # is "Club Car SW80-1035P 48V" and what i believe is a date code on the same sticker is "14/99". The cart is a 99 DS Club Car. I havent been able to find the amp rating on it....

I looked for you ..... I couldn't find it either, but memory tells me the unit is 80 amps. (standard duty)
There is another unit which looks identical and bears a different # which is 400 amps, CC used them for a couple of years.

se, i think a hd solenoid is about $65. why chance messing up your other stuff for that price? a 650 controller will need some serious protection! jmo.

thanks guys. yeah, i have believed all along its not hd. this shop seems to not want to do what is right and my patience has ran out so i went to plum quick and ordered the biggest one i could find. its a 400 amp continuous and 1000 peak. it requires a bracket and i got that too as well as the diode and resistor thats recommended with that particular solenoid. i feel better now, even though they should have provided it in my package. now i have peace of mind and no more hassel with the guy...atleast about a solenoid. still waiting on the alltrax controller i told him i want.

That solenoid requires 3/8 terminal lugs.
