Best Cart

Hey guys brand new on here and have couple of questions. I have an 07 Yamaha R6 motor and am currently looking at lifting a cart to use it in. What in your opinion is the best cart to use, would like four seats if possible, what type of rear end (chain, shaft) like to run reverse looking at Jeffco diff's... All help would be appericative. Thank You

Hi well i would go with an Ezgo txt from like 95 til 08. these to me are the best carts! they are kinda like a small block chevy everybody makes stuff for them and they are cheaper to build as well. good luck

If you want to go all out think I would go ezgo too, you can get a lot more stuff for them like full fronts and various engine cradles that will make it easier for you. Check out the big block section more stuff there for engines/transmissions/etc builds. Depends on your budget a different rear would be nice for a MC engine. Some use sprocket on the GC trans but you have to ease up to speed then you can hammer it, don't drop the clutch. Some GC trans you can get a posi kit for because that is an issue too. Some use ATV shaft but then you have no reverse, you can put bearings on them behind the hubs for more stability. Yet others use the CVT off the MC engine, the CVT is much nicer to the trans and it shifts for you.

I personally like the ezgo but cc has a good frame that can be delt with when it comes time to do swaps and such. I am in the process of making a project out of a perfectly good cart that didn't need to be messed with......now i'm on track to spend some time and money this winter playing.........boys and their toys......it doesn't matter what you go with...it will be your's. That's the fun of it, making them our own creations. Got this TYREX cage fitted up...gotta make mounts for the front now that are sturdier and then it's on to phase II.......watch out!

2 things come to mind, What's the best car, I'd just stick with the big 3, ClubCar/Ezgo or Yamaha. The best thing would be to go to the "BigBlock" section and look at the fantastic builds members have built/tried/completed or gave up and sold. This is not a build for the faint of heart, but it's not impossible either. What ever you decide, build pix's would be great...they just may help the next "bike engine builder". Plus we like to say you did this right and you did this wrong

Oh and 1 other thing....If Rifter offers a suggetion...please listen, you can bank on it. If your willing to shell out the cash for a Jeffco assy, guess money is no object. Welcome to the "nut house"

Nut house is right......just read a post from someone on another thread asking what it takes to bring the front wheels off the ground. Answer: MONEY!!! MONEY EQUALS HORSEPOWER AND THAT BRINGS THE WHEELS UP. BE READY TO FIX THINGS, THEY WILL BREAK. FOR THE BEST CART ISSUE. I AGREE THAT YOU SHOULD STAY WITH THE BIG 3. PARTS AND EXPERIENCES FROM OTHER FOLKS ON THIS SITE WILL GUIDE YOU FROM THERE. LOOK AT YOUR FINAL PICTURE BEFORE YOU EVEN START. WHAT DO YOU WANT OUT OF YOUR CART? You can use any major cart, but the CC has an aluminum frame you can't weld steel to as most do with a mod like this. Some of the trans spin backwards on the CC that can be an issue if you use the trans, many use a 1" wide belt that is not common. They have a different front suspension that is harder to mod if you plan to use that. Ezgo tend to be more simple and easier to work with. Yamaha are in the middle they are also steel frame like ezgo you can weld to, if you fab it all and don't need parts the yamaha will work as well as anything.
