Default MUST READ... My experience with a retailer

As some of you know i am new to the world of buggies and am on a mission to fix mine up to hunt out of...First step was going to be a lift...I found one on GOLFCARTTRADER.COM and decided i would call when i got off work and speak with someone to order it...When i called i wasn't sure as to who i had called because i only got a " This is so and so".. so i began asking about the lift and this individual was beyond non educated on his product. When i asked about shipping cost i got "Oh i dunno prob round 25 or 30"...so i figure fine maybe he needs to put the order in to get the total....iI ask if there is any sort of warranty to which i receive "its guaranteed to work when you get it..." now i can understand saying that as if it were a joke but there was no entertaining tone in this "representatives" voice..against my better judgement i proceed to say i would like to order this lift...The "representative" takes my info for which one i would like to order and my card information and shipping address and says " ok ill get this ready and get it out to you" no total was given..I ask if i should give him my email address so he could send order confirmation or some sort of receipt..to which i got " ahh nah i don't take emails down, half the time i write them down wrong or somthin or other, you can email me if you want me to email you back with somthing.." so i say ok...against my better judgement yet again....and hang up....8 minutes later after much astonishment and sitting in awe i decide to call back and ask to cancel my order to which the rep asked why...which i have no problem with...so i said i just want to cancel my order if thats ok..in which i got another why? so i say i just want to cancel my order...then another stern well why do you? i said can i not cancel my order? (get ready here it comes) the response was yeah sure you can..but when i waste my time taking down all of someones info and they turn around and cancel it ten minutes later i like to know why? in awe i was being talked to like this i responded with " well the not getting a total nor receiving an itemized statement of what i'm paying for and after reading the policy on the website i decided i just want to cancel it....he proceeds to say "look if its the email thing thats bothering you ill write your email down, the reason i don't is ...blah ...blah..blah..." i said no i totally understand but still would just like to cancel my order...then i get hung up on...so now i am busy checking my bank account to make sure nothing has been charged...

just want to share my experience so all of you may read this before you possibly order from this website...take it for what you would like...entertainment...or a real rotten egg...

That's a good wake up call for that retailer. People need to be given a total charge and delivery date so they feel secure in their purchase to say the least. I don't know how to address the whole warranty thing

I would get in touch with the bank and let them know! I talked to a guy there about 10 years ago.........really un-impressed! Wish they would just take their site down and swallow a pistol so they can put themselves out of their own obvious misery. Yea, I said that!

I bought some rocker panels from them afew years ago....I am not kidding, they came packaged bent in half. He did make good on them after suggesting I straighten them.

Another example of why it is a good idea to purchase golf cart parts from the BGW sponsor group
