There's a thread here somewhere where someone compared long travel kits and came up with this: jakes vs stretch plastics = both are good, both have pros and cons but most people like their kits no matter which one you go with.

I know the Jakes kit has some issues where the front plate with the J cut out bends. But, those that have had that issue Jakes made it good really fast.

Yes they did, and better heim joints aren't a bad idea either. But why buy something that's no longer available, where you can't get replacement parts or customer service, and crappy chrome plating? Hmmm.
