Adjusting cable operated brakes
I have cable operated rear brakes. Over the weekend while my son was driving it one of the cables pulled itself free from the equalizer. My son is a big kid and must have mashed really hard on the brake pedal, as the equalizer deformed to the point that it just pulled free.
I took the brake assemble apart and bent the equalizer back to shape. I put everything back together but was not sure about how to set the tension so this does not happen again. Can someone provide some guidance on how to do this properly? P.S. This is a custom extended length cart and I don't know if the brake components are stock EZGO. I don't have any pictures to post but will try to post some later if needed. In the mean time this crude drawing may or may not help. Below is a pic of what I was trying to show. Equalizer (this is the part that failed) Seems it is a stock EZGO part. |

Re: Adjusting cable operated brakes
N.A.G. You have a Ez-go rear end on that cart so any kits for the 96 TXT should bolt right up
