Default 1996 TXT remodel

My husband and I started tearing his TXT apart. Doing a high 5 all sport lift with 27" Dirt Devils. Custom painted body and freshened up all the black.

Check around with some other members who are running 27s to see what all you will need to do to power them respectfully...... that's a lot of tire.

My suggestion was to run it til the motor and/or controller dies and then upgrade it all. But I don't know a whole lot about this stuff, I'm just a chick who wants to learn while getting dirty!!!!

hey newbie2gonewild, I recently added an allsports long travel to my cart and running 27's. I highly suggest changing the controller/motor right from the start. they are a hard tire to turn with the stock setup. I will grab some pics of mine when it stops raining out.

We started the lift kit today. Of course I broke the U-bolt on the rear. Hubby was screaming mad! Had to order 4 because no one sells just one. Oh well! Pics to follow tomorrow.

Picture #2 shows a DCS F&R. You will need a complete system upgrade to run those tires.
The stock 18" tires covered 56" per revolution. You new tires cover 84". This is a final gear ratio increase of 50%. Basically, you need a power increase of 50% just to get it back to golf cart capabilities. If you add a rear seat or cargo box then you'll need more.
The DCS system is capable of producing a lot of torque.
The stock system limits the motor to 275 amps.
