Rear fender flares
hey all,
I have a 2012 ezgo st 2+2, and a set of ezgo rear fender flares. I have attempted to install these several times and just can't get the first hole drilled. They do not really line up with anything and the angle on the fender to the bolt hole is not quite right. I have read many post of the same thing. I am sure I can get them centered, bolted on, and shimed so they don't droop outward. The instructions I have from ezgo says to line them up with the fender edge, not the case, not even with a heat gun. These flares want to go high above the existing wheel well so the finished look would have the existing flare vertically even with the new flare and stick out enough to cover the tire. It would look good and be functional, but it is nothing like the instructions. I should not have to work this hard... I have looked at the site sponsors, Is there a set y'all like more than others? a set that gives a guy more confidence to install? Also, I would like to get a fistfull of those plastic center push type rivet for the key switch plate, I would hate to drive a sheet metal screw in there. I don't live near a dealer, but I bet you guys/gals have a Mc Master Carr / MSC # for these? Thanks Chris |
