Hi.. I'm a new member and I going to be purchasing my first golf cart !!! I purchased a campsite in NH and I going to need a cart to get around the campground. my problem is there are so many different golf cart manufactures and models i dont have a clue which cart would be the best for my needs.. Is there one cart that is considered the best to customize,, I need to go on and off-road, transport 4 passengers (2 adults 2kids) I plan on lifting it and adding better tires for off road use, add rear seating if needed.. Ps. If I posted in wrong forum.. I'm sorry

Welcome to the boards,....lot of good info on here and alot of good people,... Lot of the guys say the EZ-Go are the easiest to work on and the most parts avaiable. I've been looking for a while for a new project machine,...I'm to a point I don't care if it is an EZ-go Yamaha Club Car or what ever First what is your budjet? Since its a camp ground you need to look and see if noise is a factor. Probably gonna need a electric. You going to want tires and wheels and a lift and a rear seat for the rug rats,...... I've been keeping a check on local CraigList and all of the above on a cart ready to go have been going for $1800 to $5000 depending on cart.

one thing to check on , some camp grounds do not allow gas carts only electric. the yamaha does not sound bad ,but as in all things that move, how it has been took care of and how well it has been maintained , makes all the difference in the world.

Ezgo has the most parts available, yamaha is a very nice cart and should have all the stuff available you will need, CC can be a little harder to mod depending on what you do. They are all good carts stock. I would say look at the year of the cart and try not to get anything older than about 93 or so, for your situation. There are posts here to look up the serial numbers and find the year.
