Default EZ GO steering conversion

I wanted to convert my 99 worn out steering to a newer style but could find no one that had done this before. So I found a new st-350 take off complete with shocks , steering box and steering shaft. I tried to document with pictures to help anyone who might want to make this upgrade. It was pretty easy and took about 3 hrs total, it does require welding. I made a 17 3/8 by 1/4 by 5" plate to hold the new 4 bolt steering column. Welded in between the existing frame rails. This was a good opportunity to adjust the angle of the steering column for a more comfortable ride. The rest is pretty much a bolt on, the spring mounts are the same. I used Jakes 6" spindle lift which nets about 8" lift in the front. I made new shackles to adjust the ride height in the rear to level things out. Make sure you align the front end before you tighten the spring bolts. Now the cart looks much tougher, performs well off road, steers easy and has better water crossing clearance. Hope this can help someone.
