Default Need heim joint tie rods help

I need to make some custom length tie rods for my G1 with atv suspension. I have seen some people use heim joints, is this a good option? I can't seem to find a good source on the internet and was hoping someone here could help me out?

Okay ill post lol, I would think a heim joint would be plenty strong. If your local tractor supply doesnt have them, you can check out Mcmaster carr website.

Sorry to dig this thread back up from the dead, but I was just curious if I could use heim joints on my stock EZGO marathon instead of the traditional tie rod ends. Would that be unsafe, or a perfectly acceptable method? Can't imagine it'd be any less safe than the sloppy (I'm guessing original) tie rod ends. Will probably put a lift on at some point, just haven't yet.

Good quality Heims are by-far better than stock ball-joint type rod-ends.Just remember that the holes in the steering-arms are tapered,so you will need to drill them out to a standard size(7/16" or 1/2" likely),and buy rod-ends to match.Hope this helps.
