Didn't your kit come with extensions? You can go on Monroe Shocks website, there is a chart for custom applications. You look for the style mounts your shocks have, then find the length you need and you end up with a Monroe number that you can get at an auto-parts store.

Re: Lifted, now rear shocks to short
i believe there should be another plate b/t the shock plate and the rear springs. that plate would give you your needed height.
I am not sure what kit you have, but i know on the EZGO lift some get that extra plate and some dont, just wanted to thro that out there. even if you kit didn't have it, go to your local dealer and ask for them, i bet the have a crap ton in the shop and they may even give them to you. |

Go with Heavy Leave springs and the shocks can be eliminated.

Re: Lifted, now rear shocks to short
Eliminating the shocks is fine on a smooth road, but if you are off-roading or running around your property, the bouncing gets old.Trust me,no matter how stiff the springs are,you will notice the difference with shocks. My cart had heavy coils from an early Honda Accord(real stiff)and no shocks, adding them was a nite/day difference. The shocks do nothing for load-carrying,just absorb and reduce bouncing, unless its' a coil-over or air-shock.

Dave, can you provide a pic of the hole rear of the cart, just as a reference?

Re: Lifted, now rear shocks to short
Take the shock to an auto-parts or custom-parts store.See if they have the screw-on shock extenders for cars.It extends the stud, usually 2-3".
