Winches
Where and who has the best winch for the money. I want to put one on the front of the monster cart since I have the new receiver mounted.
Lets see them and details of where you got them, even though I don't think I will ever need it for mine, It would be nice to have to other's. |

Re: Winches
The HF 3,000# is a decent unit. That camo one is crap.

Re: Winches
Mines a 3000 lb Champion from Tractor Supply.
I'll use it primarily for putting it in the toy hauler. |

Re: Winches
Just make sure to get one with a remote switch, those things do not like moisture. I put mine under the cupholder and then put the plug for the wand on the front of the cupholder.

Re: Winches
I found a Chicago 3000lbs winch with Roller Fairlead locally for $80.00. It also has the mounting plate with it. It has all the hookups with remote. Used
What do you think? Says the cable has some breaks but I want the Synthetic Winch Rope anyway. |

Re: Winches
If you're going to replace the cable anyhow, why not? I'd stick with wire rope, personally. But a man does what is best for any given application, right? Synthetic would certainly save a pound or so. Every little bit helps!

Re: Winches
I figured the rope would be a little less weight + it wouldn't cut into the tree's as much...maybe don't really know.
