Default Bent my spindle lift:Long travel, Here I come!

Cart is 2006 Ezgo TXT Series 48V. Ok, after setting up my improperly working SPM 48500 to 100% output at 70% throttle with 50% throttle ramp just to see what it would do...(My controller won't read 100% throttle...3rd one from alltrax). Anyway, it will pull nice wheelies very easily set like that. But what I was afraid of came to fruition. The spindle lift that I put on bent something badly. I didn't want to use this lift to begin with, so I've been looking for an excuse to get a long travel. Now I have it. I'm planning on going with the All Sports 6". I know Jakes is a sponsor here, but many of our site sponsors sell the All Sports. The Jake's is about $130 more. Is it worth ? I've heard that the shocks on the Jakes were horrible, but I do like the fact that it has the 2" receiver on the front for ease of mounting a winch! I've heard nothing but good things about the All Sports too. Bottom line: Is the Jakes worth the extra money? I don't plan on doing wheelies all the time, I will set the controller much milder for everyday use, just had to try it out.

I broke my BU spindle lift doing wheelies. The Right side broke off right at the "tower"!
I did heli-arc it back together but Bu told me that I had to buy a whole "kit" no parts available..........

That's why we buy from site sponsors! I bought mine off a fellow member here, a very good guy, and I knew exactly what I was getting when I bought it. I was just looking for a cheap lift, and that's what I got. I will be getting the long travel from a site sponsor!

Come on guys, no opinions on the long travels? Can somebody tell me "I have this one (all sports or jakes), and I love it because _______."?
Help ease my mind on this. I don't mind spending the extra if the jakes is really worth it. But if the all sports is just as good or better, I wouldn't mind saving a few dollars either.

You can get 10 inches of lift out of the jakes lift, and as for all sports, I wouldn't buy anything from them no matter how cheap the are. My buddy used to be a dealer for them and they,re kinda shady in my opinion.

Now that's what I'm talking about, Boke! I like people who stand up for what they believe in, and who don't always give the politically correct reply! You know the typical answer, "Oh, they're both great! So great! Just get one from a sponsor!(which I already do 90% of the time)" Some folks are just afraid to say how they really feel because they're afraid of stepping on some toes. I like your no nonsense approach, Boke! You remind me a lot of, well - me! lol.

So what are the pros and cons of the Stretch Plastics lift?
How much lift?
Adjustable for camber/caster and height?
Turning radius?
And just how wide is it?

No experience with any of the aforementioned lift kits, but I have a Terra Toys kit on my cart. So far it's holding up good after several years. It's backed by a 24 hp Honda & 25" tires so it's seen some speed & abuse on & off road.

I've read where numerous people complain about the shocks the various kits come with. The PO of my cart installed Kawasaki Teryx adjustable shocks on it. I've tinkered with the settings a bit... really soft & the suspension travels quite a bit but the cart leans in the corners too much. Too hard & the front rides like a buckboard with just me in it.

Turning radius is effected a bit.... which I believe is a result of the larger tires & lengthened wheelbase. But isn't really a big deal.

Talked to Rob at East Coast Custom Carts. He's got awesome deals on both of the lifts I'm inquiring about, and he responded to my email about 5 minutes after I sent it. He's on top of stuff! He's in agreement with Boke that the Jake's is the superior long travel, and he sells both. I think I'll try to save the extra $130 and go with the Jakes. I'll post some pics when I do. I've done so much to the electric cart that you'll barely recognize her since the last time I posted some pics. Now if Alltrax can figure out what the heck's wrong with my SPM and I get the long travel and my light kit from 3r installed, I'll have the cart about where I want her for at least a week or two!lol...Oh I forgot: need to install stereo and speakers with pods from speaker pod sponsor dude, and 30 amp voltage reducer from Scotty, and the scrolling led sign, and the front brushguard from CPP, and the list goes on and on. I've definitely GONE BUCK WILD!LOL!
