Default Mid lift install have questions, G2 Allsports Double A Arm

Hi, new to carts and first mod ever on it...went OK but could have been easier.

First off....as others have stated, the instructions might as well just read "install lift kit"...since they are pretty worthless. I too am going to have a second set of plates made for the backing on the bushings...but for now I just want to get the kit installed.

I actually got the front on!!! Now, the back has me stumped. I dont know how to arrange my jack/stands to get the bottom to drop down while supported and unbolt the Tops of the rear shocks to install the brackets. For those of you who dont know, they give you relocation brackets for the rear shocks. I would post pics of it, but I dont have any progress on the rear.

I do good with pics, so if you have any please post em...

Please help and let me know of anything else to expect in this install...I hear people have problems with the throttle cable???

Pics of current progress and first mod....

On my G2 I put them on the rear most section of frame. Around the rear bumper.

When I jack up the rear most part of the frame, the whole rear end lifts off the ground. I dont see how I can then drop it down to attach the shocks to the brackets, when it is on jackstands?

If that makes sense. The brackets go on the top of the shocks....if they went on the bottom, then I could unbolt the bottom and the axle would be lower (similar to the front when you unbolt the shock and the A Arm drops lower). But since the frame is jacked up i dont see how to do it...maybe I am missing something.

I put the rear frame on jack stands then the jack under the rear axle and have it just barely touching. Unbolt the top shock mounts and lower your rear axle.

Ok, I will give it another try. I will put the jackstands on the side of the frame, in front of the rear tires underneath the seat.

Did you have any problems with your throttle cable once all said on done?

Thanks for the reply.

I unbolted the lower shock bolts & then lifted the cart by the rear bumper. The rear axle will pull away from the shocks, tires will stay on the ground. Then I suspended the cart from the ceiling about 4' off the ground. It was easy to get to the top of the shocks at that point.

Nice tips...I have an engine hoist so I might try that.

Many of us only care when we can see pics.

Hope it went well.
