Need to Stabalize and increase comfort
I just put in a 16hp motor and need the cart to handle better at speeds around 30mph. When I drive on the road to get to a trail it seems like the littlest turn of the wheel will make the cart jerk toward the given direction and flip. It is a little scary. As far as comfort I need to do something about the front shocks and I dont want to spend the money on a long travel kit. What should I replace them with, the OEM shocks wont cut it. Also bucket seats.
My cart is a 86 Yamaha G2 with a 4in lift and 20in dirt somethigs(cheapo tire and rims) and chrome plated heavy duty rear shocks. |

I'm no lifted cart expert by any means, but it sounds like your alignment is TOO PERFECT. Perhaps if you dialed in a bit of toe-out it will settle down some?

Gorno, I think it's just a opposite... a little more toe-in isn't it? At least that how I interpreted alignment 101. Of course I didn't pay as much attention in class that day so I may be wrong again.

Toe-in, toe-out, as long as it's not perfect. Like I said, I'm no expert. The main thing to remember is a short wheelbase vehicle can get plenty squirrely at speed.

Re: Need to Stabalize and increase comfort
Loosen the nuts on the ends of the tie rods (one is left hand thread) then rotate the tie rod. Do this on both sides then tighten the nuts back down.
