Default How to protect the front of the rear body?

After I painted my old electric cart I used the heck out of it. My heels (and everyone else's that rode in it) would hit the rear body there at the floorboard and scratch the heck of it.
I don't want that to happen on my new paint job and I don't want to put a diamond plate kick plate down there.
What do some of you all do to keep it from getting ridiculously ugly down there?

Not sure what you would like there. Do you want something the same color or something black. Either way.. powdercoat might do the trick for you.

Look for a clear self-adhesive laminate at Auto Zone or similar. The kind of clear layer you see on automotive rocker panels sometimes. It's almost invisible.

Gorno, I think I know what you are talking about! that's an excellent idea. I could keep spares on me and use them like the sticky floor mats you walk on to go into a clean room.
I'll have to look for some of those...

I hope you find the stuff. Another path might be the media they put on the tops of windshields. It might say Ford, Mopar, etc. or could be some tribal flames or other graphic. Ya never know....

You could also mask off where you want it and spray clear chip guard. This would make it easy to cover the air vent.

Clear chip guard? Where do I find that? How is it applied (aerosol, HVLP, etc.)?

It may be a little thicker than what Gorno is talking about but you could also look into thin sheet of clear lexan. Home Depot or Lowes or any plastic store.

Good luck and let us know and put up some pics of what you do.
