I need a softer ride for the trail. Right now on my G2 I have a 4in lift. Does the 7in A arm make for a softer ride? What about some new front shocks. Is their a type of shock that will bolt in place and make for a smooth ride? If so where could I get them. Maybe air shocks but I dont know anything about those. Need help please.

I think you may need a long travel lift....someone who has one will chime in soon on the comfort.

BRS is right Shocks will not make for a softer ride. As long as you have a leaf spring type suspension it will ride harsh. You need a long travel A-arm. It's the only way to get a soft and SAFE ride.

I dont think I want to spend $800+ for a couple of shocks and longer A arms in the near future. Their has to be other ways to get a softer ride.

I had this same problem with comfort. I ordered the 7" lift from CPP for my G2 and got the tires today and the lift is coming tommorow. When I get it put on I will let you know how the ride is. I also got the 8" wheels so I would have more rubber between the wheel and ground.

Anyone know what I should expect out of my rear with leafs after I get my Strech Long travel installed? I know the front will be plush, but I'm worried the rear is gonna buck me off like a Brahma bull once I take it out for a full on test ride...
I still need to be able to load about 200-300lbs back there too so I don't know if I want to go to a 2link or 3link rear end or not. |

Only 5 psi. Some parts of the trail I ride on are very bad with roots and lots and lots of rooks. I have to slow down to a crawl and the front end still kreeks and moans. The rear doesnt seem to have a problem other than running out of ground clarence about once every time I go out, nothing to loose sleep over.
fiveflat let me know how you like your long travel. |
