Con of E-z Go is that if you lift with all stock electronics, I.E controller, F and R, and wires your will eventually start burning up due to heat and will have to do some expensive upgrades to get what you want out of it, dont get me wrong I'll take an E-Z Go over a Club Car any day but with a name like kymudder I have a feeling your gunna want to get it pretty muddy, which electric and mud/water dont mix so I think I would advise on the gas for you...

ky, depends on which ez it is. If it is a series cart they fair pretty well with just a few upgrades. If it is a DCS cart and has the stock controller, bad news.. To tell which, open the seat and look at the controller cover, if it has a run/tow switch it is a DCS. Series will have another smaller box in front of the controller with a rod coming from the FNR selector.

If it has a run/tow switch and is a 97, it is more than likely a DCS cart. These were EZ-Gos first attempts at a "smart" cart. They were decent and had good torque but were prone to failure from low voltage. If the controller has been replaced with an aftermarket one, like Alltrax, it would or should be a decent setup. That being said, that type of cart does not like being stalled. If all you plan to do is cruise around, it would be fine for that but anything more heavy duty, look at the series but be warned, it will be slower in a stock configuration.

My two cents
