Re: Fair price for lift kit install
I don't know what it would cost for installation, probably depend a lot on the shop. I don't think that there is a flat rate for labor so it's pretty much a shop to shop decision. If I remember right the shop by us wanted like 7 or 750.00 for a 6 inch Jakes spindle lift and wheel/tire combo (black steel wheel and 22 inch tires) and then it was like 1100.00 or so installed. Thats for a Club Car DS.
Roughly 400.00 to install a spindle kit seems like highway robbery to me when you figure a shop (that does them day in and day out) can probably pump it out in no time. Go onto google and search "spindle lift kit install" and see just how simple and straight forward it really is. I'd be willing to bet that you could do the job yourself just fine and save some money. Where are you located at? If you're in Michigan I'll do it for 100.00 and a case of cheap beer :) |

Re: Fair price for lift kit install
I charged anywhere from 250-400 depending on the lift and condtion of cart. If i had to use the torch to get bolts out or straighten the frame it was 400
but like stated, if you have normal hand tools, spend 2-3 hours one sat morning and do it your self. its not hard at all, the hardest part is the rear axle flip. |
